This year marks a new era at Alpaca Owners Association. This is the inaugural year for the Natural Fiber Extravaganza. We have re-vamped the Fleece Conference into an all-natural fleece gathering. The AOA National Fleece Show along with the photo competition and student design competition will still take place during the Extravaganza, but we are adding so much more to the weekend.

The 2018 AOA Natural Fiber Extravaganza will take place at the Wilson County Exposition Center in Lebanon, Tennessee. Built in 2017; it is connected to the Wilson County Fairgrounds, which hosts the largest fair in the state of Tennessee each August. Located just 30 minutes from the Nashville airport, the Expo Center is at exit 239B off I-40.

The Extravaganza will open to the public at 8:00 a.m. Friday through Sunday. If you are an early bird you are welcome to come in and stop by the AOA booth for answers to your questions. While there you can check out our great AOA merchandise. You will also be able to receive information on activities at the Extravaganza.

Lodging is available at our host hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, located just a short six minute drive (3 miles) away on I-40. You are able to book a hotel room at our discounted rate before June 12. RV Camping is also available at the Wilson County Fairgrounds for $25 per day. Reserve your spot when you register for the event.

Registration for the 2018 Natural Fiber Extravaganza is a great value. Not only do you get a full weekend of seminars to attend you will also have access to our Annual Luncheon and Keynote Speaker, the Saturday evening Fleece Reveal and Social (which also includes our awards show and live auction) and special this year the Friday Night Meet and Greet and Mill Tour at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas/New Era Fiber. In addition there is a full workshop schedule to keep you busy throughout the weekend.

In addition to the seminars, workshops and vendors; there will be an AOA member Marketplace. The Fiber Artist Marketplace will showcase numerous handmade items from our members. If you are an AOA member and wish to participate in the Marketplace, visit the marketplace information page.

Lebanon, Tennessee, is also a mecca for antique dealers. Many shops are close by as well as in Watertown, Mount Juliet, and Hermitage, Tennessee. Lebanon is also the home of Cracker Barrel Restaurants. If you are looking to experience Nashville, it is only a 45 minute drive away. Popular Nashville destinations include: the Grand Ole Opry, Tootsies Bar on Broadway, the Schermerhorn Center for Fine Arts, the Tennessee State Museum or the Country Music Hall of Fame. Only an hour away from Lebanon, Tennessee, is the Loveless Café, which is known for the best biscuits in the universe!

Admission and parking at the Wilson County Exposition Center is free. Bring your family and friends and take part in one of the most unique events in the Nashville area celebrating natural fibers.
