Andrea Nissen is an award winning fiber artist based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She started her fiber arts career learning to sew when she was 4 years old. A coworker suggested she visit their farm to learn more about alpaca fiber. She fell in love with alpacas, which means her sewing machine often sits idle while she spins, knits and felts. Her passion is finding ways to merge alpaca fiber with sewing. She is the owner of Iona Rose Studio LLC, a mobile sewing and fiber arts studio which offers courses for after school programs, family farm events and community programs.
