It is with sadness that we announce that Andrea Harrington has submitted her resignation as Conference Manager of Alpaca Owners Association, Inc. Andrea was recruited for a position with another company and has accepted their offer. Her last day with AOA will be November 25th.

Andrea joined the AOBA staff in 2005 and has worked tirelessly throughout the years planning and executing AOBA and AOA events. With Andrea’s excellent project management skills the National Shows went off seamlessly. In 2016, the AOA National Halter Show housed over 1,000 animals and the National Fleece Show had over 700 entries. Andrea handled onsite obstacles with finesse and was known to walk nine miles by noon! Although her main task was organizing events for the association, Andrea was also involved with the day-to-day running of the association. Her 11+ years of experience in the alpaca industry will be missed. We wish her well in her future endeavors.

To fill the void, Becky Farley has agreed to step into the Conference Manager role. Becky has worked with Andrea over the last four years and has been heavily involved in the planning and executing of the National Shows. Becky has a background in event planning and with her years of experience with the association we are expecting a smooth transition. We look forward to seeing everyone in Denver at the National Show this year and Becky will be sure to pack her walking shoes!
