From the time we first saw an alpaca in 1999, to the time we purchased our first four in 2012, alpacas were in the back of our minds as a possibility for the future of our farm.

20 years ago I decided to retire from my successful law practice and to choose an entirely different second career.
We were looking for a semi-retirement business and discovered alpacas.

When we originally came into this industry in 2012, the choice was mostly based on what we considered to be quality of life considerations. Looking back on that decision, we could not have been more right!
Classic Alpaca employs over 80 women in two production facilities to meet our customers’ requirements for quality and style.

From the very beginning we began making purchases and breeding decisions that would allow us to build a herd of elite alpacas.
We are involved in the community and have hosted numerous ag groups, veterinarian students, birthday parties, small groups and individuals. We love talking to people about alpacas.
It all started because my poor husband spent hours and hours mowing our five acre tract. We just had to do something! Then we saw a piece on Animal Planet about alpacas.
When I started looking at alpaca fiber and ALL the benefits I discovered the Suri alpaca and fell in love.
As both a weaver and knitter, fiber and textiles have been a part of my life for over 30 years. The search for quality yarns drew me to an interest in raising fiber-producing animals.
We started Cas-Cad-Nac Farm some 16 years ago at the same time that we were starting our family.
Following a dream that started in 2008, Suri & Company has evolved into a farm dedicated to breeding and raising alpaca that have the “complete package”.
Buck Brook Alpacas is a family-run farm started in 2013. The farm was started for several reasons but the main reason was our love of animals.
