When I started looking at alpaca fiber and ALL the benefits I discovered the Suri alpaca and fell in love.
We are involved in the community and have hosted numerous ag groups, veterinarian students, birthday parties, small groups and individuals. We love talking to people about alpacas.
Our farm name HOLDFAST references our desire to honor God as we strive to achieve our motto of Faith, Family, and Fine Alpacas.
Flying Iron Ranch is located on the western slope of Colorado and specializes in breeding, showing, and selling the highest quality from the Jeremiah, Zephyrus and Quechua lines.

As both a weaver and knitter, fiber and textiles have been a part of my life for over 30 years. The search for quality yarns drew me to an interest in raising fiber-producing animals.
When we originally came into this industry in 2012, the choice was mostly based on what we considered to be quality of life considerations. Looking back on that decision, we could not have been more right!
