Alpaca Yoga

Relieve your stress…with alpacas!

Alpaca Owners Association is offering FREE yoga classes with a group of friendly and beautiful alpacas at the Natural Fiber Extravaganza. The classes will take place in the backyard area of the Farm Bureau Exposition Center.

Yoga instructor Kim Struglinski will lead the class which is open to participants of all ages and yoga levels. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Kim is the Founder and Owner of Heart of Wisdom Yoga, a yoga studio with in-person and virtual classes in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds RYT-500 certification with Yoga Alliance and has specialized training in vinyasa flow yoga, restorative yoga, prenatal yoga, yoga for chronic pain, trauma-informed yoga, and the biomechanics and anatomy of yoga. Her focus is on helping students build physical and mental strength and flexibility through the practice of yoga.

The Alpaca Yoga class is free and open to the first 50 participants. Reserve your spot online!

Fastest Crochet Contest

Love to crochet? Show off your crocheting skills by joining the Fastest Crochet Contest. No pre-registration required.

Rules

  • Contestants will be provided with worsted weight yarn.
  • Contestants will be provided with a crochet hook.
  • Before timing begins, contestants will chain first twenty stitches on a crochet hook.
  • Contestants will crochet for 10 minutes.
  • When time is over, swatches will be judged by stitches crocheted and measurement.
  • Judges decision is final.

Knitting with Chopsticks Contest

Ever knitted with chopsticks? Come and join in the fun and see how fast you can knit. No pre-registration required.

Rules

  • Contestants will be provided with worsted weight yarn.
  • Contestants will be provided with a pair of chopstick knitting needles.
  • Before timing begins, contestants will cast on twenty stitches on the knitting needles any way they prefer.
  • Contestants will knit for 10 minutes.
  • When time is over, swatch will be judged by and measured by the rows knitted.
  • Judges decision is final.
