Introduction to Natural Dyeing

Colors produced from nature can be the most beautiful rich shades. Learn how to create these colors using non-toxic materials. We will explore some common things found in your house or yard and some seasonal roadside plants that will produce beautiful lightfast colors on protein fibers. We will also discuss things that you think might produce color, but do not. We will have several small dye pots in action. Mordanted wool yarn and dye materials will be provided.
