3-in-1 Offer: Female Cria at Side, Bred Back for 2019 Cria
Marseille is a well-conformed, compact female weighing, on average, 130 lbs. At 7 years old, she has a very respectable histogram of 23.5 mfd (see fiber stats in sidebar). Her average blanket staple length is 4.5 inches. Marseille is a natural protector of the rest of the girls. She always places herself between people in the pen and the other girls and is aware of everything going on. She is in no way threatening to humans.
Marseille was bred to Absaroka High Jynx, an award-winning male sired by a true black, for a spring 2018 cria. The farm we purchased Marseille from had stopped breeding so they never bred Marseille. We have bred her one other time and she produced a true black male who, unfortunately, died the next morning. On 5/7/18, Marseille delivered a 15 lb female that is a carbon copy of her sire, Absaroka High Jynx. Baby was very active and almost completely dry when we went out at 6:30am to do chores! Marseille is an attentive mom with an ample milk supply for Little Miss Mayhem. Maysie has perfect conformation and shiny fleece!
Marseille has never been shown. In late 2017 while skirting her 7 year old fleece I was impressed with how well it had maintained crimp, fineness and handle so I took a chance and entered it into the NWSS alpaca fleece show. Her fleece placed 2nd out of 4 mature fleece entries and it was selected by a jury of 3 wool judges for inclusion in the NWSS Handspinner's Auction!
6/11/18: Marseille has bred to Absaroka Renegade. Renegade's grand-dam is black and his sire produced a Color Champion black female when bred to black. The potential to produce a black offspring is there!
