Dear AOA Members,
Earlier this week, I had to share some difficult news with the AOA Board of Directors, that I will be resigning as executive director, my last day of work being October 1st. Earlier this summer, a local organization which I have been a member and supporter of for several years approached me about being their President/CEO. I was deeply honored their board and members thought I would be a good fit for their organization. After multiple conversations with Nikki and the organization, I decided to move forward through the interview process. This organization is one of the few I can imagine in the world to be able to recruit me away from the alpaca industry. As you know, Lincoln is a place I absolutely love, and this is a natural fit for me.
I want to thank all of you for everything you have done to welcome our family into this amazing industry. Three years ago I could never have imagined the friends I have made in the alpaca industry. We have enjoyed getting to know you, supporting you, and purchasing products. We will continue to support local charitable organizations with alpaca items. We enjoy sharing alpaca products with family, friends, and local organizations.
Thank you for your support of AOA the past few years. You have inspired me every day to find new ways to “preach the good word about alpacas.” You, the members, are the ones who make this organization succeed. I am so proud to have been your executive director. Nikki, the girls, and I are thankful for the relationships we have built in the alpaca industry.
I wish you all the best and if I can ever be of assistance to any of you, please let me know, I would love to help. You will forever be an important part of our lives.
