New Executive Director Hired!
The board of directors is very pleased to announce the hiring of our new Executive Director, Robin Gifford.
Robin is a native and long-time resident of Lincoln, Nebraska. She brings to AOA valuable experience as an entrepreneur in the founding and 12-year leadership of her company, Springboard. Her daughter is now taking the helm of the company. Robin has previously led a national equestrian organization, including a stallion registry, and provided senior leadership in mission advancement for a national foundation and provided leadership in a merger transition. Robin has strengths in relationship building, communications, fund raising, and change management.
As a youth, she showed Quarter Horses extensively across the US and was a top-winning rider. She has already visited local alpaca farms on National Alpaca Farm day and fell in love, as we all do.
Ms. Gifford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University, New York City. She is a co-founder and served on the board of Lincoln G.O.L.D. (Girls Organizing for Leadership Development). She also has served on the boards of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company, First Evangelical Free Church Foundation, Lincoln Downtown Rotary, and the Association of NE Fundraising Professionals.
Please join us in welcoming Robin to AOA, where she will begin work on December 5, 2019.
