Beginning January 1, 2027, alpacas entered in AOA-certified shows must be identified with an 840-compliant microchip. Members are encouraged to begin preparing now by obtaining a Premise Identification Number, ordering 840-compliant microchips, updating show records, and reviewing available AOA member discount information.
