2020 EPD Producer Report is Available Online

Dr. Enn's Producer Report is now available online for the 2020 Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) genetic evaluation. EPDs set AOA registered alpacas apart from others around the world, providing information that helps AOA members make breeding and buying decisions that support rapid and effective genetic gain!

This year’s analysis included observations for at least one trait on 39,713 Huacaya and 8,943 Suri animals. This translates to 77,027 huacayas and 16,778 suris for a total of 93,805 alpacas with EPDs.

Alpacas that have had no trait data submitted, but are related to alpacas with data, may have EPDs recorded. EPDs are calculated up to four generations back from an alpaca with submitted data.

Read the 2020 Producer Report by Dr. Enns for more information on this calculation. Be sure to download and archive your EPD report for 2020 (previous EPD calculations are not archived).
