AOA is pleased to feature Rebecca Burgess, Executive Director of Fibershed and Chair of the Board for Carbon Cycle Institute, as our keynote speaker during the Annual Meeting and Luncheon at the Natural Fiber Extravaganza (NFE). Rebecca has over a decade of experience writing and implementing a hands-on curriculum that focuses on the intersection of restoration ecology and fiber systems. She will join us virtually at NFE.

Her keynote presentation, Building Fibersheds & Replicable Sustainable Textile Systems, will focus on how we can regenerate lost carbon stocks in our soils, provide meaningful livelihoods, develop new natural fiber and dye recipes, all while consciously considering how we can reduce pressure on highly polluted regions in the world.
