Ready! Set! Register!
Registration for the 2026 AOA National
Fleece Show is open!
Spin-Off
The Spin-Off Competition invites participants to submit two ounces of fleece for evaluation by skilled spinners. Judges spin the fleece by hand, providing detailed feedback on its quality, such as its uniformity and ease of spinning. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights into your fleece and receive a hand-spun sample.
Fleeces shorn on or after 1/1/2025 are eligible to compete in the Spin-Off Competition. The deadline to register for Spin-Off is June 1, and entries must be received no later than June 13.
Fleece Show
The 2026 AOA National Fleece Show is being held in Florence, Kentucky, July 14–18.
As shearing season quickly approaches, it’s time to start thinking about which fleeces to enter into the competition. Don’t forget, you’ll earn double points at the AOA National Fleece Show! Early Bird pricing is available until June 15, and general registration ends
on June 27.
Innovative Fleece Assessment
The Innovative Fleece Assessment (IFA) is a scientific method of fleece judging that focuses on the potential end product of the fleece. The most important part of this approach is that fleeces are sorted by grade and feedback includes a summary of the uses for which that fleece is best suited.
Registration for IFA will remain open until June 27. The Fleece Show and IFA Show have separate registration links. Please note that a single fleece cannot be entered into both shows.
Fiber Arts & Skeins
Show off your skill and creativity by submitting your creations to the National Fiber Arts & Skeins show. Entries must consist of 50% alpaca fiber and should be shipped separately from fleece entries. Registration will be open until June 27. Entries can be shipped or brought directly to the show.
