Registration for the 2026 AOA National Fleece Show is open, and now is the time to decide how your fleece will be evaluated, showcased, and rewarded.
Spin-Off
See how your fleece performs in the real world.
Submit two ounces of fleece and receive hands-on evaluation from skilled spinners. Judges assess uniformity, handle, and spinning ease. You will receive a hand-spun sample along with detailed feedback you can use in your breeding program.
- Eligible Fleeces: Shorn on or after January 1, 2025

Compete on a national stage.
Held July 14–18 in Florence, Kentucky, the 2026 AOA National Fleece Show brings together top fleeces from across the country. It's also your opportunity to earn double points.

Innovative Fleece Assessment (IFA)
Match your fleece to its best end use.
IFA takes a practical approach, sorting fleeces by grade and providing insight into how each fleece is best used—from garments to other finished products.

Show what alpaca fiber can become.
From hand-spun skeins to finished fiber art, this competition highlights craftsmanship and creativity using alpaca fiber.
