Celebrate Alpaca Fleece All Month Long
July is National Alpaca Fleece Month, and Alpaca Owners Association (AOA) is inviting members, affiliates, fiber artists, alpaca businesses, and owners to help highlight the purpose, value, and versatility of alpaca fleece.
Throughout the month, AOA will share the many ways alpaca fleece moves from farm to finished product, connecting animal care, thoughtful breeding, creativity, and community.
Share Your Alpaca Fleece
Help us fill social media with alpaca fleece this July. Share photos, reels, and short videos featuring fleece, yarn, roving, batts, fiber art, farm store displays, shearing day moments, skirting tables, spinning, weaving, felting, or finished alpaca products.
Tag AOA and use #NationalAlpacaFleeceMonth so we can follow along and help share your posts.
Celebrate in Your Community
National Alpaca Fleece Month is also an opportunity to build awareness in your local community. Share educational posts, connect with fiber artists, invite your followers to learn more about alpaca fiber, and encourage the public to explore its many uses.
Promote Your Fiber
If you have fleece for sale, we invite you to list it on the AOA Marketplace. Fiber artists, makers, and shoppers may be looking for natural fiber, but they need to know where to find it. Listing your fleece helps make alpaca fiber more visible and easier for buyers to discover.
When creating your listing, include clear photos and helpful details, such as the alpaca’s name, fleece color, fiber type, grade or micron information if available, price, and how buyers can contact you.
Let's Share Alpaca Fleece Together
From the show table to the spinning wheel, from the farm store to finished products, alpaca fleece tells an important story about responsible ownership, thoughtful breeding, and the value of natural fiber.
This July, help us share that story by posting your fleece content, tagging AOA, supporting alpaca fiber businesses, and helping more people discover the beauty and purpose of alpaca fleece.
