A Look Ahead: AOA’s 2026–2027 Goals
At the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA) Annual Meeting on August 27, members met the 2026–2027 Board of Directors, led by President Jay Penica, and learned about AOA’s strategic direction for the year ahead.
The board’s goals include welcoming 400 new members annually, expanding public-facing programming at AOA-certified shows to introduce more people to the alpaca community and industry, and providing greater support for AOA’s regional affiliates.
Follow Our Progress
To promote transparency and accountability, the board has documented its objectives in the attached 2026–2027 AOA Goal Tracker. The Board of Directors and AOA committees will use this document to coordinate their work, measure progress, and remain focused on shared priorities.
We encourage every member to review the plan and consider how you can help advance AOA’s goals. By sharing the value of alpaca ownership and inviting others into our community, each of us can contribute to a strong and sustainable future.
