Contact Polly Michaelis

Polly Michaelis entered the alpaca universe in 1996. She and her husband Ken created Finger Lakes Alpacas when they were lucky enough to relocate back to Central New York State from corporate occupations in Albany. In her former life, Polly was a law librarian and most recently a veterinary practice manager (a clinic that indeed served alpacas) plus she was an AOBA-certified judge. She resigned her judging credentials with AOA to attend to family matters and her alpaca business. Today, Finger Lakes Alpacas is home to approximately 30 Huacayas. Polly has spent hours, days, and years volunteering at AOBA/AOA National Conferences, AOA Show Rules Committee, AOBA Affiliate Grant Committee, AOBA Nomination Committee, Empire Alpaca Association Board of Directors, Empire Nomination Committee, and the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza and Symposium. Currently, she is serving on the AOA Judge Training and Certification Committee. She is now happily solely an alpaca farmer and industry consultant.
