Among the rolling hills of prairie grassland in Northern Colorado, you’ll find the home of the finest alpacas in the country. Red Granite Ranch has been breeding and selling elite seed stock alpacas in Northern Colorado since 2009. With over 10 years of trusted experience in the alpaca breeding industry. Here at Red Granite Ranch, our mission is to build an elite herd of alpacas with every breeding decision we make. Since opening in 2009, this pursuit has allowed us to create an award-winning ranch with animals proven to be competitive in the show ring. Our fleeces are dense, fine, and uniform, so you can trust that our fleece products are the best in the business.

Red Granite Ranch is a family-run business, located on 400 acres in Northern Colorado at an elevation of 7,500 feet. It is home to both Red Granite Ranch & Ironhide Alpacas (owned by the Milligans' granddaughter, Cadence). The ranch sits at the base of the Rocky Mountains on rolling hills of prairie grassland. Our views are extreme. We are approximately 32 miles north of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and 33 miles southwest of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Interstate 80 or Colorado Highway 287. Our family invites you to visit and experience our wonderful lifestyle in the Rocky Mountains.

Our alpacas offer a wide range of colors (from pure white to true black and shades of rose and silver grey), ages, from cria to adult, and from diverse to legendary bloodlines. Our Herdsires and their progeny are show winners, receiving Supreme Champion status & numerous first placings, attending some of the nation's largest shows in the circuit. Our program has been named Small, Medium, and Large Breeder of the Year awards, and ranked in the Top 5 AOA National High Point system each year. Our program is well respected around the world, and you can find our genetics across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe!

We offer ongoing support involving all aspects of raising alpacas, and freely share our experience with our fellow alpaca enthusiasts. With our continued involvement with alpaca events, seminars/webinars, workshops, etc., we can provide up-to-date info regarding the alpaca industry as a whole.

We offer 'hands-on' alpaca information at our 'alpaca-friendly' ranch, where we'll show you what to look for in a top-quality alpaca, from body structure, fiber quality, bloodlines, and registration requirements.
