HOWLING HILL's Conspicuous

Conspicuous (Spike) was bred to be the WOW that he is. His dam, Elk Matrix Haley, a Snowmass Matrix daughter, brings excellent fleece quality and uniformity with the propensity to allow spots to come through. His sire, Red Granite’s Man of Mystery is a light harlequin with excellent fleece characteristics including superior density (“Overall, this is the best alpaca I have tested in the US.” Ian Watt.) His pedigree is loaded with spot-producing genetics. The difficulty with spots is with uniformity among the color groups. Judges have noted, despite the numerous colors in Spike's fleece, his uniformity among them is very consistent. We expect Spike to be a foundational sire in the US for producing spots with excellent fleece characteristics.
